!! Be Informed Saginaw County !!

          Cold Weather Safety

Your Saginaw County Health Department is committed to protecting your health and providing you with the information you need to prepare for extreme weather affecting our county and state.

For the next several days Saginaw County will be part of a wind chill warning.  Wind chill or “feels like” temperatures are expected to be between 25 and 40 degrees below zero.

A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and the wind will create dangerously low wind chill temperatures.  Frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.  Hypothermia and death are possible if precautions are not taken.  Bring pets inside.
