Children’s Special Health Care Services is a supplemental government insurance program that helps families with children with special health needs. It covers the costs for doctors, hospitals, equipment, and medication for children from birth-21 with a chronic health condition. Families benefit from this program whether they have a conventional insurance, Medicaid, or no health insurance. Eligibility is based on the child’s medical condition, and not on the family’s financial status. Additional assistance is offered through:

…a nurse to help you find the right doctors and manage your child’s care

…a representative to help you with your paper-work

….in special circumstances, help with extra medical expenses

Help is provided to children with many health conditions including cancer, hearing loss, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, sickle cell anemia, chronic ear conditions, prematurity, birth defects, and many, many more conditions. Call to see if you qualify.
