Two clinics provide personal health services: the Family Planning Clinic and the Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic. Both clinics provide confidential, individualized quality services provided by caring, professional staff.
The Family Planning Clinic provides women with a method of birth control that matches their lifestyle. The services provided in the clinic are aimed at preventing unplanned or unwanted pregnancies and preventing the spread of sexually transmitted disease. The clinic has many types of birth control. Information about each method is provided, so the one that is the best for each woman can be chosen. Women are taught to use each birth control method effectively to reduce the risk of pregnancy. Other reproductive health services such as breast exams, PAP smears, tests for sexually transmitted diseases and blood pressures are also provided. The Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Clinic exists to prevent, diagnose and treat STDs. Education is available to individuals about their risks for STDs including HIV. Exams are given to those who think they have a sexually transmitted infection. If an infection is diagnosed, treatment can usually be provided. In some cases, treatment is also provided for sexual partners to avoid further spread of the infection. Anonymous and confidential HIV Testing and Counseling are also available. Both clinics provide referrals for needed services that they do not provide. For more detailed information, click on the clinic below.
