Saginaw County Treatment and Prevention Services (TAPS)
was established pursuant to Act 358 of the Public Acts of 1978.  The following are functions of the Saginaw County Regional Coordinating Agency:

  • Develop comprehensive plans for substance abuse treatment and prevention services consistent with guidelines from the Michigan Department of Community Health.
  •  
  •  Provide technical assistance for local substance abuse service organizations.
  •  
  •  Annually evaluate and assess substance abuse program effectiveness for the county.
  •  
  • Through the Access, Assessment & Referral (AAR) office, treatment services are authorized to clients that include detoxification, residential and outpatient care, access to services for women and children, adolescents, and opioid maintenance treatment (OMT).
  •  
  • Saginaw County Regional Coordinating Agency is committed to developing a recovery oriented system of care (ROSC).  This is designed to enhance recovery durability and long term stable remission from addictive substance disorders.
