Campgrounds are inspected to determine their compliance with the State of Michigan requirements. It is the responsibility of the Environmental Health Specialist to ensure that sewage service, water, drainage, garbage/rubbish, and the safety and maintenance of the campground is adequate for a healthy and safe environment for the residents.

Campgrounds are inspected by the Environmental Health Specialist routinely to make sure that the regulations are met and a clean and healthy camp site is available to each camper.
